Monomad: Quiet Insect

This is my entry for the daily #monomad contest hosted and curated by @monochromes.

I'd like to share macro shots with black and white filters. It was a jewel damselfly that used to inhabit the bush near the rocky river.

If you look at the physical characteristics, it is very similar to a dragonfly. Because in fact, they are close relatives in the Odonata order. However, jewel damselflies are much smaller and slender when compared to dragonflies.

The Jewel damselfly is a fairly calm insect, it isn't as active as most dragonflies. It just needs a twig that it uses as a place to contemplate.

I came to that conclusion because when I circled around it to take pictures from different angles, this insect didn't budge from its perch at all.
