Monomad: Perched for a moment

This is a conopi fly, or thick-headed fly (Physocephala tibialis), that I captured with my phone camera. This little guy flew past my ear and buzzed like a bee before I saw him land on a dry twig. The loud buzzing almost scared me because I thought it was a crazy bee that wanted to sting me. It wasn't until he landed that I realized he was a cute fly that wouldn't be able to hurt a giant like me. He perched on a dry twig for a while, as if to give me a chance to take a photo. Of course, I didn't waste anything other than taking a few angles. What a sweet little guy!

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.

All of the images here are my work, taken with a Xiaomi POCO NFC smartphone and an assembled external macro lens.
