Monomad: Orb-weaver Spider and A "Mummy" Grasshopper

Where did humans in ancient civilizations (Egypt, for example) get the idea to make mummies? I'm trying to guess, maybe they learned from orb-weaver spiders. I imagine, at that time there was a shaman who happened to notice an orb-weaver spider wrapping its prey with a silk web. So the shaman returned to his community and practiced the method on the dead. You don't have to believe it because this has to be proven scientifically and it's the job of scientists to find out the truth; this person (me) only knows how to catch small things that almost escape the attention of most normal people.

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.

All these photos are my original work, taken with a Xiaomi POCO NFC smartphone and an assembled external macro lens.

The detail in those images is beautiful. Found myself zooming in on them to see even more.
