Monomad: Mallocybe

Some macro shots have been modified with a sepia monochromatic tone. These photos were captured during a mushroom walk in November 2023.

Those solitary mushrooms belong to the Mallocybe species. Because the cap has not shrunk, it appears to be a juvenile mushroom. The mushroom cap is velvety. The mature ones commonly have a shrunken cap--like a chef's hat. I tried editing these photos by increasing the grain level... and for some reason, I love the edited results.

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.

All these photos are my original work, taken with a Xiaomi POCO NFC smartphone and an assembled external macro lens.
