Monomad: Little Ping-pong Bat

(Edited)

Here's another entry submitted for the current #monomad challenge.

These are not chips, but mushrooms that grow in rows and clusters on rotting wood. Panellus pusillus , commonly called the little ping-pong bat, is a species of porous fungus belonging to the family Mycenaceae. The fruiting body is curved with rough pores that resemble rackets. Maybe that's why it's called the little ping-pong bat. If it's edible, it's definitely nice for making crispy chips. But there is no guarantee that it is not toxic. I don't want to take the risk.
