Monomad: Leucauge

I'm sharing some macro shots that I altered with a monochrome filter in order to enter the current #monomad contest.

They are long-jawed orb weavers from the genus Leucauge. They come in a pair; the larger of the two is the female, while the smaller one is the male. I had assumed they would mate on that twig, but the awaited moment never happened. I believe I frightened them. After taking a few pictures, I left the place right away. Afterward, I hope they truly come to realize their passion for one another.

Very nice serie about this spider! I really like picture number six! Have you tried to turn it as if the spider is standing?

Thanks @haastrecht. No, I didn't do anything. It occurs naturally and dangles from its silk.
