Monomad: Humble Bee

Here I'm submitting some macro shots for the current #monomad challenge.

If it's a male, of course, he's a handsome guy; and conversely, if she is female, of course, she is a sweet girl. It's a Nevada nomia bee that I found near a swamp this past June. That was the amazing thing: it seems to be aware that I'm taking its photos. There are many bees that I have found, but none as tame as this one. Until a friend joked that I had a certain spell to subdue a bee. Actually, there was "Hey cute! I'm your fan. Let me take a picture of you." Yes, that's all the chanting of the spell.
