Monomad: Golden-scruffy Collybia in Black and White Photo Frames

This mushroom is commonly known as the golden-scruffy collybia due to its cap's messy and rough surface. Cyptotrama asprata, the scientific name of the mushroom, was first described by an English naturalist, Miles Joseph Berkeley in 1847. It is a species of saprobic fungus belonging to the family Physalacriaceae that is found in tropical areas all over the world.

The golden-scruffy collybia grows solitary on dense black soil and decaying wood. When it's deliberately changed to black and white, you might think that it's a parasol mushroom, since at first glance, it looks quite similar. But I can tell you where the difference lies. Parasol mushrooms are generally white with a rusty cap, while this one is orange to golden yellow in its original color.
