Monomad: Flower Out of Place

Most women tend to love flowers, and my wife is no different. We have a small garden in the yard with two mango trees, and the rest are my wife's favorite ornamental plants.

Perhaps most wives are happy when they get a bunch of roses, tulips, etc., from their husbands on their wedding anniversary or at any time. But my wife never once got that from me.

So one day, I felt the need to be a romantic man. Maybe giving her a bunch of flowers would make her happy. Instead of roses or tulips, I gave her a bunch of Mesosphaerum suaveolens, a kind of weed flower that I had just weeded.

Immediately after that, I saw her face turn sullen. "You'd better give me a bunch of spinach so I can make soup for you!" She scolded me as she threw the flowers into the trash box. So, it was the first and last time I gave her flowers.
