Monomad: Fairy Parachutes

These photos were taken during the rainy season in November 2023. In that month I often spend the afternoon hunting for interesting mushrooms in the woods.

Those fairy parachutes (Marasmiellus candidus) appear on the damp litter in the woods. The fairy parachute is a common fungus in our tropical forests during the rainy season. Both the cap and stem are very fragile, you need to be careful handling fairy parachutes because they break easily. If illuminated with a flashlight, the gill folds of the mushroom will look beautiful because they are translucent. But unfortunately, I always forget to bring a flashlight!

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.

All these photos are my original work, taken with a Xiaomi POCO NFC smartphone and an assembled external macro lens.
