Monomad: Dung Demon

These pics were taken during our afternoon walk in the hills. I have repeatedly found this kind of fungus on cow dung, and today I noticed it again and again.

They were beautiful mushrooms, but they appeared in something disgusting and smelly. But that didn't make me give up, because I always carry a cement spoon wherever I go hunting. I purposely took the tool with me in case I encountered something like this. So I scooped the sticky cow dung into the dirt and moved it to a good spot. Yes, that's where I can get backgrounds with beautiful bokeh.

Oops! I almost missed something important. Dung demon is the common name of this fungus. While the scientific name is Deconica coprophila.

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.

All of the images here are my own work, taken with Xiaomi POCO NFC smartphone and an assembled external macro lens.
