Monomad: Common Rustgill

I was capturing these in a forest with a dim and humid environment. The forest was so dim that my vision became blurry, and my head was a bit spinning when I was there. Yes, it was a forest that was dense enough that sunlight was blocked by the tree canopy. The common rustgill (Gymnopilus sp.) kept me there, and how my ears were disturbed to catch the roar of the fierce forest mosquitoes, I need not tell at length here. Because, after all, this mushroom was too beautiful to waste.

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.

All of the images here are my own work, taken with a Xiaomi POCO NFC smartphone and an assembled external macro lens.
