Monomad: Chanterelle

These are chanterelles clusters caught during the rainy season in October 2023. Cantharellus minor—the Latin name for this species—is a fungus native to eastern North America, although I believe it is also found in Asia, even on other continents.

It has a small-wrinkled cap, with a stem that rises like a sturdy peg. But actually, the stem is very fragile and breaks easily.

Throughout this year I have never found this fungus again. Understandably, until now the dry season is still going on until August.

All these photos are my original work, taken with a Xiaomi POCO NFC smartphone and an assembled external macro lens.
