Monomad: Beautiful Things in the Marsh

I remember that afternoon; the sky was cloudy when we walked around the marsh. I thought I would catch some frogs there. Please don't misunderstand; I didn't mean to make frog soup because that's a disgusting menu item. I thought taking pictures of frogs was a good idea, but it wasn't easy. I didn't even catch one. They are hyperactive animals, even more so than jumping spiders. I had to give up!

I sat tiredly on the ground until something interesting caught my eye: a weed flower. I didn't know the flower's name, but it was beautiful, especially with raindrops.

Some people say that sometimes a poem can be created when we see beautiful flowers. However, I don't have the slightest talent of a poet. Even though I thought hard, not a single verse came out. My hands and knees were shaking; it was because I hadn't eaten anything at that time.

...and then, one by one, small animals typical of the marsh appeared around me. There was an owlfly; there was also a dragonfly. It was not the time to create poetry. It just takes concentration to shoot these guys.

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.
