Monomad: Banded Phintella

This banded Phintella wasn't on the snow-covered Mount Everest, because I am sure it would not survive -20°C. Not even me. I found it in the mangrove area east of my town. Many jeruju plants (Acanthus ilicifolius) are growing along the canal and are home to several species of spiders. The banded Phintella is one of the many jumping spiders that live there. It makes the 'sleeping bag' with silk webs. The banded phintella's so small, even a jeruju leaf is like a football field for this guy.
