FungiFriday: Stunning Mauve Parachutes

Nature always surprises us with beautiful things. It would be a kind of secret that would never be revealed if we didn't explore it.

I would never have known that there were beautiful purple mushrooms hidden in the forests of Sumatra if I had never stepped foot there.

The walk, which was both exciting and tiring, seemed to pay off when you found mauve parachutes (Marasmius haematocephalus) appearing here and there, like small umbrellas planted in the damp and quiet forest.

You are so amazed by the beauty of the mushrooms that you even ignore the bites of the vicious forest mosquitoes and the mustiness of the forest, which makes you feel short of breath; your focus at that time was only on the dazzling mauve parachutes!
