FungiFriday: Purple Pinwheel Dance
When I saw that for a moment, my mind drifted into fantasy. I was in an opera theater. The whole room went dark, then the spotlight turned on and started shining on the stage. There, you can see two beautiful ballerinas.
They started making graceful dance movements. The spotlight followed wherever the two ballerinas moved, accompanied by the classic music "Swan Lake" by Tchaikovsky, which echoed throughout the room. Everyone was lost and amazed by the stage. It's so beautiful!
Damn! Suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by the bite of a vicious mosquito on my forehead. It died in one fell swoop! Yes, that's how it is sometimes when I see something beautiful. I like to imagine it as something beautiful too. Those purple pinwheels have captured my heart.
I only see this beautiful mushroom two or three times a year, after it rains for days. They appear in dark forests.
Some of them are not completely purple. Only the stem is like that, while the hat is sometimes a bit white.
Mushrooms with tall stems, but also some that are twisted like in the first picture, and so on.
Marasmius haematocephalus (Mont.) Fr. That is the scientific name of this fungus, which belongs to the Marasmiaceae family.
