FungiFriday: Orange Marasmius + Raindrops Topping

After waiting for a long time, the rain finally came. Heavy rain fell on our city last night and the day before. At least that was enough to make us sleep soundly at night after suffering for some time due to the humid heat caused by the extreme drought.

While the weather was quite friendly, it occurred to me to hunt for mushrooms this afternoon. I decided to walk around the forest near campus on the outskirts of my town. Something unexpected by me happened there. It seems there was a clearing of the forest area not long ago. There were no longer the sounds of crickets or langurs that usually greeted us like before. It hurt my heart too much!

These orange Marasmius, at least cured my disappointment. I accidentally found these photos. This happened when I was cleaning image files on my laptop that I felt were no longer important.

I remember I caught those mushrooms in December last year, in the same spot I visited this afternoon.

Beautiful things to see! There are grains of sugar... No! those were the raindrops on the caps.

Hopefully, I will find more beautiful mushrooms at the next festival season.
