FungiFriday: Finding Mealy Bonnets Near Rayap River

I was delighted and excited to see the beautiful mushrooms shared by mushroom lovers on #FungiFriday. I didn’t want to miss out, so I thought I’d share some mushroom captures here.

There’s Mycena cinerella, a member of the family Mycenaceae, commonly known as the mealy bonnet. This was found during a mushroom walk in the Sidomulyo forest, North Aceh, in December 2023. The spot where the mushroom was found was near the Rayap River. Local rain often causes the environment to be constantly humid, allowing several species of mushrooms to grow there at all times.
