Today I want to share macro images with the Fascinating Insect community.

The subject here is the duskywings skipper butterfly that I found in a local forest, about 5 miles from the city of Lhokseumawe.

I think this is a butterfly that in entomology has the scientific name Ephyriades brunnea, which is a species of skipper butterfly classified in the family Hesperiidae. It was first described by the German entomologist, Herrich-Schäffer, in 1865.

Physically different from the skipper butterflies in the family Hesperiidae, E. brunnea has wings that are slightly wider, dark brown, and marked with white spots on the surface of the forewings.
