Castalius rosimon | Common Pierrot

Hey nature observers! A few days ago, I had the opportunity to observe mating butterflies and take some pictures.

Castalius rosimon, or the common Pierrot, is a species of butterfly belonging to the family Lycaenidae . This is a kind of small butterfly that is quite common in the bushes near the Saweuk River in North Aceh.

Physically this butterfly is characterized by black or brown spots on the underside of the wings. If you know the Dalmatian, I think the common Pierrot's spots are very similar to those of the dog.

It was their mating season, and they were really enjoying it. I hurriedly left them after taking a few pictures. Yes, I don't want to linger there for fear of disturbing their fun.
