Boulder Bee (Megachile rotundata)

These pictures were taken when it was drizzling a few days ago. At that time, I noticed the boulder bee or leafcutter bee (Megachile rotundata) immerse its head in the hare foot uraria flower.

Initially, I thought this bee was taking shelter there because it was drizzling, but it was not. I looked closer; it was busy sucking the nectar of the flower without paying attention to the drizzle, which made its body wet.

It sucked too much nectar to make it full, while the drizzle had not stopped. The wet wings were too heavy to fly far.

It moved for a moment to the grass while waiting for the drizzle to stop.
