Banded Phintella
(Edited)
Become a friend of spiders? Why not?!
Lately, I've been documenting a lot of spiders. Yes, Sumatra is home to thousands of spider species. Most of them are jumping spiders (Salticidae), which are known to be agile and aggressive.
This time, I want to share one of them: Phintella vittata, commonly known as banded Phintella.
This species is small in size and has a combination of colors, including black, metallic blue, and golden yellow. This one had a dark face and the same colored pedipalps—male characteristics—and long, pointed, sharp jaws.
This species is found mostly in South Asia and Southeast Asia. Low-growing bushes are home to the banded Phintella.

Macro photography is really cool but when it comes to animals, especially insects like spiders, it makes it even cooler.
WHAT AMAZING SHOTS! @akukamaruzzaman 🔥 Thanks for sharing.
