Most people who "Believe in Science" are not applying the #scientific method in their lives.
People just believe in what actual researchers revealed to them. They don't try to question the results.
It's an okay way to live, but not very scientific.

Some people, whose diseases are cured and better thanks to science, are blaming science.
It's just funny and sad. !LOLZ ! PIZZA

Well, most of the diseases we have in the current age, are the result of science misuse so they might have a point. (I don't agree with them on that.)

The basis for science is questioning. It's OK for people not to accept something at first or at face value; these people are free to verify for themselves or to test to confirm. Real science is accessible to everyone.
Trust, but verify.
Yeah, that's the correct way... It's also hard, so you don't have to apply it for everything, but it's dangerous to blindly trust everything from "reputable" sources.

Science doesn't even need to be complicated, either.
Suppose government officials claim that the path of the sun is normal, but the shadow cast by a sundial seems off. Visual inspection is enough to confirm or deny.

That's right... There's a reason everyone agrees that the "Sun" rises from the east and sets to west. Some science is just impossible to refute facts.

A few years ago I saw a sci-fi movie where the earth had changed its relationship to the sun. The government tried make classified this change, and it freaked out when it saw on the nightly news a scientist who reported his findings to the public. All the scientist did was observe and track the changes. Something like that change can't be hidden! LOL
Would watch that movie... Tell me if you remember the name.

You're welcome.
If this helps, Polar Storm is a TV movie I saw on SyFy/The SciFi Channel. The movie itself is OK, but that scene we discussed makes the movie.
