Let's Try "The Heavens" (PICO-8) ✨ Exploring the Ethereal Space

"You're Born in Theta Quartus, but Your Fate Lies in the Heavens."

The Heavens by reskob is a Space exploration simulation game where you explore the universe, destroy astroids, colonize planets and chart a course to the end of the universe.

This is a simulation games with some Rougelike elements. You control a spaceship and you can explore the galaxy in any way you want. The UP button thursts you forward, and the DOWN button opens the map. Pressing the "X" button opens the tools menu which can be used by the "O" button. There's a Canon to fight astroids with, Fuel Colletor, and a Hyperdrive teleporter.

In this video, I play the game for a bit and discover some of its systems, though I barely touched the surface. According to the game's page on PICO-8's official website, there are many mechanics in the game I failed to discover. Will hopefully play this again to discover them.
