Let's Play "Final Fantasy VII" New Threat 2.0 GameType "A": (Part 52) Holy Materia
New Threat 2.0 is a fan-made Mod for Final Fantasy VII that completely overhauls the gameplay of the game. I downloaded it as part of 7th Heaven's Mod Pack. This is a playthrough of Game Type-A of the Mod that keeps the major story bits of Final Fantasy VII intact while changing the game balance, adding extra content, and gives the main characters extra abilities.

This is the second Modded FFVII playthrough I post here. You can watch my ECHOS-7 Mod playthrough with full voice acting here.
Holy Materia
Cloud and the party go to Bugenhagen in Cosmo Canyon to benefit from his wisdom on what to do next. He tells them about that the city of the ancients holds the key.
Interestingly, this segment is the most affected by Aerith being in the party throughout all the Mod. Because in the original game, her death was the main reason Cloud and the others didn't know what to do. New Threat 2.0 Mod makes an interesting interpertation that Aerith didn't know what she was doing when she activated the Holy Materia.
Thanks for Watching!

Time goes by and these games are aging in a good way, even more so when it is their own community who supports it. It is good to see how the fans themselves continue to give life to the game they love so much.
Yup! I'm amazed at how good the Mod is!
Speaking of Final Fantasy VII, Rebirth has finally been announced for PC! Can't wait!
The gameplay was good and I remembered the day when I went to my neighbor's house and he was playing this game. He offered me to play this game too but I did not understand it and when I understood it, it was too late to go home. My school friends used to talk a lot about this game. Now many versions of this game have been released.
Final Fantasy VII may be clunky mess, and hard to understand for those who haven't played RPGs before, but it's charming!
You're correct that there are many versions of Final Fantasy VII, the most recent one was announced for PC. But I wouldn't consider other Final Fantasy numbered titles as FFVII versions.
