Digimon World Next Order is a modern sequel to the beloved first entry of the Digimon World series. This time, you manage two Digimon at a time instead of one! The scope of the world is also bigger, and there are more recruitable and obtainable Digimon. The soundtrack is very nostalgic with many tracks being remasters of Digimon World 1 OST. Still, the original had more charm in the moment-to-moment experience.

This time, I discovered that you can get Extra Cross Evolution upon death!

While exploring the Final Dungeon, I fought Sakuyamon and she defeated me. I thought I'd return to the city or try to load a save, but instead, my Digimon got revived by themselves, and fused together into a new Digimon for the rest of the battle.

I've used ExE many times manually by now, as you'd know if you watched the previous parts, but this is the first time it happened upon death. Good stuff!
