Confession of a Mobile Addict: Why I'm Team Mobile All the Way
As a guy that grows up in Nigeria and over the years, I have seen the tech world evolve and transform at a rapid rate, it is definitely getting clearer that our relationship with technology also is evolving as day goes by. As a person who spent most of the day on my smartphones scrolling, tapping and zooming, I must confess that I embrace being a mobile enthusiast with my full chest.
This made me remember Memoires down the years. I remember my first phone then which was Nokia C2. I believe many of us will remember that device. This was the originator of my love affair with mobiles and even till now as it has grown much thicker. Back to my reason, why do I really choose mobile over PC. Well there are actually a lot of reasons but I will start by the first factor and that is mobility.
Whether we like it or not, mobility is a key most especially when you live in a country like Nigeria where your phone is your best friend as most of the time I always want to be entertained, to be connected to what is happening around the world. My phone is always up to the task for me and not only that but also offers me that mobility.
The second advantage or reason why I go for mobile much more than PC is the affordability factor. I have come to discover that smartphones offer me this incredible value at an affordable price and it helps to make me stay online much more. But well that's not even the most important factor.
The most important factor of it all is productivity. I am someone who does not joke with productivity because it sums up what my life really entails. I am the multitasking type and always have a lot to do and attend to at the same time. From my Microsoft office on my phone creating articles and content to within seconds switching to the social Media to still stay connected to what is happening around the world to my live streaming apps to probably get me relaxed whenever I sense been burned out.
Don't misquote me, I also acknowledged the strength of PC like in form of the gaming aspect, the editing aspect and many more but I believe for my day to day task, I think my phone can do the task for me and not only do it but also do it effectively for me with adding the mobility factor.
Take for instance also in a country like Nigeria where I live, mobile banking has become the order of the day and payments platforms been integrated to offer the mobile banking services also like Opay, Interswitch can help me most of the time carry out my transactions daily with utmost convenience.
Even though I prefer the mobile option much more than the PC, it still comes with some downside. The first is the mobile addiction as recently I sense that I spent most of my 24 hours on my mobile thereby becoming an addiction. I will also talk about the health effect of being glued to my phone which is eye strain but currently working on it right now.
I think one of the things I am learning right now is to strike a balance between making use of my mobile phones daily and not getting so much addicted and glued to it daily as that can eventually bring another disaster for me. I have grown up becoming friends with mobile technology and till now, I am proud to say I am Team Mobile all the way, for now there is no going back.

Indeed in the case of mobility, a phone is useful but what about work load? You will need a PC for that.
