Todos pensamos en una playa como un lugar natural, ligeramente acondicionado para el baño y entretenimiento de las personas. Hace poco me enteré que existen playas artificiales, hechas con arena traída de otros lugares del mundo, tal como es el caso de la famosa Playa Las Teresitas (con arena del Sahara), de la cual hice un post y video hace algunos meses en mi serie "Explorando Tenerife". Muy cerca de la Playa de Las Teresitas se encuentra otra playa artificial en costrucción, llamada Playa de Valleseco, pero esta es un poco más inusual, ya que no tiene arena.

Una playa sin arena en construcción

Estas fotografías que les muestro fueron tomadas a inicios de Julio. Actualmente, esta playa debería estar ya lista o muy cerca de estar totalmente terminada. Una nueva playa se incorpora a la isla de Tenerife, pero seguramente te preguntarás ¿Cómo es una playa sin arena?

Como Ingeniero Civil y creador de contenido en Hive acerca de viajes y exploración, me parece muy interesante visitar un lugar turístico en construcción, ya que combina dos cosas que están en mis intereses. La Playa de Valleseco es una especie de piscina natural, en la cual, en lugar de arena, se tienen bordes construidos de concreto tal como si se tratase de una piscina.

En algunas fotos recientes de la playa publicadas en redes sociales se puede apreciar también una zona con escaleras que se internan en el agua, tal como si fuera una piscina de un parque acuático. También se puede observar en un extermo de la playa una especie de rampa que se interna en el mar, creando una zona para meterse gradualmete al agua.

Se han creado varios rompeolas o espigones hechos de piedras gigantes que se aglomeran para aliviar la fuerza de las olas que llegan a la orilla. Es por ello que imagino que la playa será casi como una piscina de agua salada natural, ya que las olas no llegarán o llegarán con muy poca fuerza. Me parece muy interesante que se colocaron varias plataformas alejadas unos cuantos metros de la orilla, quizás allí se pueda llegar nadando.

Realmente es un diseño interesante. No es común ver una playa sin arena construida de esta manera. En nuestra mente siempre pensamos en arena cuando pensamos en una playa. Seguramente la visitaré pronto para visualizar todo lo que esta playa tiene para ofrecer con mucho más detalle, ya que el día que decidí caminar hasta allí no había acceso hasta la orilla, por lo que tomé fotos desde la avenida ¡Seguramente será mediante un video de 3Speak!

Valleseco Beach is a sort of natural swimming pool, in which, instead of sand, you have edges built of concrete just as if it were a swimming pool.

In some recent photos of the beach published on social networks, you can also see an area with stairs that go into the water, as if it were a pool in a water park. Also visible on one end of the beach is a kind of ramp that goes into the sea, creating an area for gradual entry.

Several breakwaters or breakwaters made of giant stones have been created to alleviate the force of the waves that reach the shore. That is why I imagine the beach will be almost like a natural saltwater pool since the waves will not arrive or will arrive with very little force. I find it very interesting that several platforms were placed a few meters away from the shore, perhaps they can be reached by swimming.

It is really an interesting design. It is not common to see a beach without sand built in this way. In our minds, we always think of sand when we think of a beach. I will surely visit it soon to visualize all that this beach has to offer in much more detail, since the day I decided to walk there there was no access to the shore, so I took pictures from the avenue. Surely it will be through a 3Speak video!
