WhatsApp. 💬
We all have our favorite websites and our favorite apps. To some, it's all about gaming and it's all about browsing, some people prefer listening to news updates and many more. The world of nowadays and the recent advancements in technology have made everyone have their way on social media and this is where they get to focus their time on.
A few minutes ago I found myself scrolling several reels on the TikTok app, I spent almost an hour watching a variety of videos and comic content. Most times I am on the app just to have fun and free myself from stress. Most times I find myself laughing so hard too. So that’s one of the functions of the app on my device.
I also make use of YouTube shorts too. This is another app that I spent some of my time on. But not as much as TikTok. YouTube is more educational and has some interesting content too. So I spend my time there.
There was a time when if I were asked what my favorite app was, then I would say without doubt that it was Facebook. At some point, I had to delete the app on my phone for some reason. Facebook has this instant messaging feature and also includes the reel aspects for videos.
With Facebook gone on my phone and spending limited time on other media apps WhatsApp became my most used app. Recently WhatsApp has been my most used app. And this is because it becomes so hard to get away from the use of WhatsApp daily. The instant messaging feature has been one of a kind.
I got so addicted to WhatsApp when I was in my university days. It wasn’t really because of the chat option then or even maybe because of any other features. It was because we had to use WhatsApp for everything group discussions we had in class, whenever there would be an update or vital information for the general class, it would be shared on WhatsApp. And then if there would be any PDFs or documents to be passed across, it would also be on WhatsApp.
So I found myself using WhatsApp so much since then. With time WhatsApp began to add features like status view, voice notes, video notes, screen share, and many more. So this caught my attention the most.
WhatsApp has been my medium of calls and instant messages for as much as I have data on my phone. Then I can make calls to any extent, I can also chat to any extent. It has become the trend of today. Most time I even prefer calling on WhatsApp Audio first before I make use of the mobile network.
Telegram is just another app that recently wanted to overtake WhatsApp. But that’s because of the recent trend in the crypto space that has shifted down to the app from Discord. The tap-to-earn features have made Telegram so popular and there are also some other features Telegram has that WhatsApp doesn’t. Yet it still can’t overtake my use of WhatsApp on my phone.
When last I checked my App Storage I realized that WhatsApp has taken the highest share of my data percentage. Since I have my chats intact and all of my calls and videos are on the app.
I am not the gaming type so I don't even install many games on my phone. The one I have on my phone for a long time now, I only visit once a blue moon. So this is why I don't have heavy game apps on my device. I might even have these heavy game apps on my phone and still not frequent my use of the app. So it renders it useless when I am to choose the most used app on my phone.

Its truly incredible how one uses WhatsApp daily, I can't count how many times I have opened my WhatsApp but I knows it's much.
My joy for YouTube is unexplainable, their interesting reels and educative video full of life impacting lessons has drawn me closer to this app and i cant go a day without opening it.
