The technology surrounds us in such a way that we can't imagine a day without it. It's because we start our day using technology and the day also ends with the image of technology. It's because technology has made our lives quite easy and things are much better than before. It's because many things can be done in less time now just because the technology has built the solutions that are easy to use. Even the payment system is such a fantastic innovation that has been given by technology to us so we can't imagine a life without technology now.

While technology is making our life easy in our day-to-day lives now some part of it is also affecting our employment. It can be good if we try to learn how we are going to get affected and accordingly plan some strategy. This strategy is not to fight the problem but instead, to find the solution that can keep us employed. I would say dealing with such a problem is like upgrading our skills and skills are the ones that keep us employed in every situation no matter how the technology is advanced.

Artificial intelligence is highly advanced technology. The chatbot which is called chat gpt is popular worldwide and now businesses are implementing chat gpt to automate their work. No need to mention that it will give them more profits because they will be able to reduce the manpower. No company is interested in keeping the manpower if the work can be done by technology and they do need to deal with technology every day. It's like setting up the programme once and it will continue to happen every day. Dealing with people is difficult for any company but not with technology because things can be different and it is also like a one-time investment that businesses have to make.

I am part of the artificial intelligence technology group in my organisation and I know how we are working to automate the work. I am leading the project so I have identified the areas where automation will be implemented and some of the work is already automated. There will be a time when the company will look into manpower reduction and I have already advised my colleagues to get killed specifically about prompt engineering. Technology is good but there is a problem that it cannot do any analysis or creative work. It can only do the repetitive task and this is where we need to find the opportunity and keep ourselves skilled and upgraded.

I have upgraded myself with prompt engineering and I know how it works so I hope that the AI war will not affect my employment. It is not like a traditional war I would say because I'm not going to fight with anyone but when companies think about the cost reduction then they will surely look into the people who are not doing any different work than the repetitive jobs. If the work can be done just by a bot then why would a company invest in a human who will take leaves many other things need to be provided to that person by the company whereas the bot is just a one-time investment.

Conclusion

In simple words, I can say that technology is surely going to impact employment and it will be happening worldwide. The only option we have with us to deal with this upcoming challenge in future is to upgrade ourselves. Learning is important and it should be happening from time to time to ensure that we are not left behind with the advancement of technology. AI technology is surely very good for us but this will bring some disadvantages also so we need to plan and act accordingly.
