Can We Outsmart Our Creations - AI Our Partner or Destroyer?

Introduction

Exactly two years ago, the world witnessed a massive boom in artificial intelligence technologies and applications, which led to rapid transformations in labor markets and created more concerns about the intense competition between humans and those applications.

This boom represented the most prominent bright spot in the world of technology this year, amid a feverish race among technology giants to develop more advanced technologies that can continue the revolution that artificial intelligence is creating in the markets.

Today, it has become easier for a number of companies to lay off employees who can be replaced by artificial intelligence, and at a time when companies are rapidly employing AI skills in their businesses.

Therefore, many believe that this development in artificial intelligence would destroy the labor market, while on the other hand, there is an opinion that says that artificial intelligence can be employed to integrate with the human element to accelerate and develop work tasks, and that the two sides are not the opposite, but rather it is possible through understanding these Applications and their use in business, achieving broader positive results in the work of companies and institutions.

It is clear that this controversy will not be resolved easily, in terms of escalating fears of an artificial intelligence boom.

As these technologies continue to be developed rapidly amid competition from sector giants around the world who are taking steps forward every day, the coming years may be full of the most exciting developments, with companies - at various levels - adopting plans to develop new technologies that can compete in this nascent world. And seizing start-up opportunities, despite concerns related to the regulatory procedures imposed on these companies.

There is no doubt that this continued development of artificial intelligence will displace some of the jobs currently performed by humans. For example, the development of artificial intelligence systems that can conduct conversations and write texts may displace some customer service and writing jobs.

As we have seen in previous articles that I published on Inleo, the use of artificial intelligence in a different medical fields, such as diagnosis and treatment is expected to improve the quality of healthcare. Furthermore, the use of artificial intelligence in the industrial applications, like machine control, productivity improvement, and new product development, is expected to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

There are several possible scenarios for competition between humans and artificial intelligence we can check together some of them and if you have some other ideas drop them in the comments below!

Scenario 1: AI continues to outperform humans in a variety of fields, displacing some jobs currently performed by humans. This scenario may lead to unemployment and social unrest.

Scenario 2: Humans will be able to find ways to adapt to artificial intelligence where that will lead to the creation of new jobs and economic growth.

Scenario 3: Humans develop artificial intelligence that exceeds their own intelligence, that what will take us to what will be called “The Age of Artificial Intelligence.”

It won’t be easy to predict the most likely scenario. However, it is important to be aware of the challenges and opportunities presented by the competition between humans and AI.

This competition is a complex phenomenon with far-reaching implications. So it’s important to take the necessary steps to adapt to it.

Conclusion

A large number of companies have become convinced that artificial intelligence is the solution because it will reduce costs and give the same or perhaps better results than employees. Therefore, it is also important, and since there are companies that intend to offer new jobs or have already offered these jobs, so employees must benefit from artificial intelligence technologies and own its skills.

These companies look at the employees with artificial intelligence skills - who have the ability to employ these technologies in their work - as having greater job security than their counterparts who do not have this ability.
