Imagine you're vacationing south of Lisbon because you love nature, mountains, and of course, Portugal's crystal-clear beaches... But you hate crowded tourist spots. In the Arrábida, a very popular mountain range in Setúbal (which we've already covered in many posts), there's a hidden beach that few can reach, but which can offer you the best day of your life. That beach is called "Coelho." In this post, I'll give you all the necessary tips to get to this legendary place and also show you some other things to visit.🌄🌍
Imagínate que vienes de vacaciones al sur de Lisboa porque te apasiona la naturaleza, montañas y claro, las playas cristalinas de Portugal... Pero detestas los lugares abarrotados de turistas, en la Arrabida que es una sierra muy popular en Setubal y de la cual ya hicimos muchos post, existe una playa escondida donde pocos pueden llegar, pero que te pueden ofrecer el mejor día de tu vida, esa playa lleva como nombre "Coelho", en este post te daré todos los consejos necesarios para llegar a este lugar mítico y en adición te mostraré otras cositas más para visitar.🌅⛰️
Before we head to our mysterious beach, I want us to visit two rather beautiful viewpoints in the mountains. One offers a view to the north of Lisbon, and the other a view to the south where we can see many beaches, including the one we're going to today. There IS public transport in the summer that can take you to this area. Not to the viewpoints themselves, but to the beach areas.🗺️🏞️
Antes de ir a nuestra playa misteriosa quiero que visitemos dos miradores bastante bonitos en la Sierra y que te pueden ofrecer una vista hacia el norte de Lisboa y otra Vista hacia el Sur donde podemos ver muchas playas e inclusive a la que vamos hoy, SI EXISTE UN TRANSPORTE PÚBLICO EN VERANO QUE TE PUEDE TRAER A ESTA ZONA. No a los miradores, pero sí a las zonas de las playas:🚩🌄
The best option for visiting the beaches is the public bus 4415, BUT BEWARE... This only operates during the summer and school holidays. Personally, I recommend you rent a car, which you can probably find for 30-40 euros per day, and visit the entire Sierra with a vehicle; it's more convenient for you.🏞️⛰️
La opción mejor para visitar las playas es el autobús público 4415 PERO ATENCIÓN... Esto solo trabaja en verano y vacaciones escolares, yo en lo personal te recomiendo que alquiles un carro que probablemente consigas en 30-40 euros por día y visites toda la Sierra con un vehículo, es más cómodo para ti.🌅👩🏻🦯

This is our first stop, the North Viewpoint, as its name indicates, gives you a wide view of the north of Lisbon, from here we can appreciate the 25th of April Bridge, the Tagus River, the Sintra mountain range, one of the most beautiful views of the city center, and we can even see the green lung of Lisbon, Monsanto Park, where I made my previous post.🌅⛰️

I discovered this viewpoint in front of the communications towers; no one is uploading photos of it, so it was a good contribution to the blog. It's very wild; you can see that it's an area quite frequented by wild animals like wild boars.🌄🚩🌍
Este mirador lo descubrí al frente de las torres de comunicaciones, no hay personas subiendo foto de él, por eso fue un buen aporte para el blog, es muy salvaje, se puede ver que es una zona bastante visitada por animales salvajes como jabalís.⛰️🌅🏞️
Hiking Tips🌍🏞️/ Consejos para la caminata📍🧭

If you're going to do my route, don't come wearing short pants.
Stay on the marked trails if you are not experienced in hiking; many tourists die from slipping and falling.
Do not feed or disturb the wild animals, and do not uproot any plants; this area is protected.
You can do the hike at any time of year, although for me spring is the best time. If you want to swim at the beach, then summer is your option.
Bring plenty of water and food; much of the hike does not have towns where supplies can be purchased.
Sunscreen, hats, a cool long-sleeved shirt, boots, and hiking poles are essential.

No te salgas de los caminos, si no tienes experiencia en senderismo, muchos turistas mueren al resbalar y caer
No alimentes y molestes los animales salvajes, tampoco arranques plantas, esta zona es protegida
Puedes hacer la caminata en cualquier época del año, siendo para mí la mejor en primavera, si quieres bañarte en la playa, entonces verano es tu opción
Trae abundante agua, y comida, mucha de la caminata no presenta poblados para comprar insumos
Protector solar, Gorros, camisa manga larga fresca, botas y bastones de excursión SON INDISPENSABLE.
We now arrive at the South Lookout, which, unlike the North Lookout, does not have views of cities or villages. It is quite the opposite; since we are in the South, further "south" there is nothing but the Atlantic Ocean. Therefore, we have a different view, but in this case, it is much more natural and wild. From here, we can see some beaches, and we can even see Coelho Beach, where we are going, less than 10 km away.🌍🚩
Llegamos ahora al Mirador Sur que a diferencia del mirador Norte no tiene esas vistas de las ciudades o aldeas, es todo lo contrario, como estamos en el Sur, más al "sur" ya no hay nada, es solo OCÉANO ATLÁNTICO, por ello tenemos otra vista, pero en este caso es mucho más natural y salvaje, pero en este caso desde aquí si podemos ver algunas playas e inclusive se alcanza a ver a menos de 10 km la playa "coelho" a donde vamos.🌄👩🏻🦯
