Reducing a Video Size So, I'm thinking of uploading a video to 3Speak but 2.6GB ...
... will take forever, so I'm trying to reduce the file size with FFMPEG codecs and see how it goes... So far, I think the result will be less than 1.0GB.

Its tricky how to downsize videos, i get the best results keeping the quality by modifying bitrate on the encoding!
The reencoding for this file has almost taken an hour now. I'll see if the quality is decent when it finishes.

Handbrake is a great free program that makes it pretty easy to resize videos, available for all platforms I believe.

It depends on the codecs you're using, but it does a pretty good job making best use of your memory and processor(s).
