Hello all nature lovers, I hope we are always in good health and facilitate all other activities. Some time ago when I was in the forest I managed to capture several photos of mushrooms, caterpillars, insects and fern shoots. And all of them look very attractive or have their own charm.

Some of the mushroom photos below at first glance look like the shape of a steamed bun (bakpao). But in reality the mushroom is Calvatia craniiformis. Calvatia craniiformis is a mushroom from the Agaricaceae family. This mushroom is also known as the "skull-shaped puffball", because when it has grown up or has fully bloomed this mushroom does look like a skull.

But the Calvatia craniiformis mushroom that I found wasn't too ripe or not fully bloomed so it didn't look like a skull, but more like the shape of a steamed bun (bakpao).

Then there was a caterpillar that was the size of an adult's finger. This caterpillar is quite interesting even though it doesn't have a lot of hair, but its color is like the color of a leaf, so I almost missed it.

After the caterpillar above, there are also insects that seem to be part of Rhynocoris iracundus, a species of assassin insect from the Reduviidae family. Assassin insects have bites that are quite painful and it is quite dangerous for children if they get bitten by these insects.

It's not complete when you're in the forest if you don't take pictures of the wild plants there. Yeah, I have fern shoots. But the fern shoots that I photographed are not fern shoots which are often consumed as vegetables but fern shoots which contain poison and cannot be eaten.

However, I had another reason so I chose to photograph it, that's because the shoots of this fern have a more attractive color than the shoots of consumption ferns. The fern shoots for vegetables are green while the fern shoots I photographed are reddish brown. Looks more interesting, right? :)
